1.73 GHz processor is more than sufficient for everyday work like word processing, spreadsheets, email and Internet surfing.
Memory (RAM): Another crucial laptop feature to the performance of a laptop is RAM memory, which refers to the amount of programs you can run on your notebooks without running into slow downs and causing your laptop to drag.
512MB RAM is usually a standard, however, 1GB is best and especially if you intend to use your laptop for gaming, video and entertainment, like storing a lot of music files and 3-D graphics.
Tip: Check the RAM the laptop supports because this will indicate the most memory you will be able to upgrade to.
